Drawing

This mirror image drawing is from the composite drawing of Design 3D for the John C. Butler class destroyer escorts dated June 2, 1944. This is how the standard John C. Butler 3D drawing could have been used to apply the port pattern to the starboard and the starboard pattern to the port side. No original drawing or instructions have been found that would have directed painters to paint this reversed pattern. Note there was no stern view. Photos do not indicate whether the deck pattern was also reversed or not.

Original drawing sources: NARA 80-G-172880 and 80-G-172881.
